The San Francisco kula - our community of the heart - has been meeting twice a week for nearly four years. It's the longest-running public enhanced yoga class in the country, founded and nurtured by Dee Dussault.
Through that time we've had to constantly adjust to the vagaries of the cannabis regulators and this latest San Francisco gold rush...but through it all the community we create together remains.
As Dee pollinates Ganja Yoga on the road, that community continues to welcome new friends and revitalize old ones. San Francisco's Ganja Yoga will always be the seed that started it all. featuring ganja-yoga trained teacher, samar, on sunday evenings.
Flexibly-challenged stretchers to advanced yogis are welcome. This is a bring-your-own-cannabis class.
LIMITED 'KARMA YOGA' (pay-what-you-can) slots in every class FOR THOSE WHO CAN'T AFFORD OUR RATES. email firstname.lastname@example.org with your details. FIRST CLASS FREE FOR WOMEN IN THE CANNABIS INDUSTRY! EMAIL WITH SOMETHING THAT SHOWS YOUR JOB.: )
Samar Husseini is a movement enthusiast heeding from colorful Colorado. Falling in love with yoga there, she used it to gain footing in her life to expand out of her home state. Trusting her green thumb and heart she ventured to Northern California in 2013 to continue learning as much as possible about growing cannabis outdoors from seed to sale and beyond. Coming from an athletic background, yoga organically fell into Samar’s life. During her time in the bay area in 2016 she completed her 200hr RYT with Pete Guinosso at Yoga Tree, and 50hrs RYT continued education with Dee Dussault of Ganja Yoga in January 2018. Drawing inspiration from her teachers and lifestyle Samar fuses her passion for mobility-based movement and embodiment into her yoga classes. In hopes to inspire her students to do more movement off of the mat and outside Samar leads retreats incorporating her three loves: yoga, food, and organic faming.
